Trademark Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
“Elicitly™”, “Elicitly Pro™”, and the Elicitly logo are trademarks of Preneur LLC (“Elicitly”, “We”). This policy explains how You may use them.
Elicitly’s open-source packages are licensed under Apache-2.0. That license covers the code, not the name: section 6 grants no permission to use Our trademarks. You are free to use, modify, and share the code. Our marks exist so people can tell what is genuinely Elicitly.
Uses that are always OK
You don’t need to ask Us before you:
- refer to Elicitly truthfully, e.g. “built with Elicitly”, “works with Elicitly”, “an Agent Skill for Elicitly”, or “compatible with Elicitly”;
- redistribute unmodified releases of
elicitlyor@elicitly/toolsunder their original names; - write articles, tutorials, reviews, videos, or talks about Elicitly;
- list Elicitly in a directory, registry, or comparison.
When You do, use the name as-is (don’t abbreviate, translate, or merge it into another word). Don’t imply that We sponsor or endorse You.
Uses that need Our permission
Ask Us first before you:
- use “Elicitly”, or a confusingly similar name, in the name of a product, hosted service, company, package, or extension;
- use the Elicitly logo, or a modified version of it;
- register a domain name or social media account that contains “Elicitly”;
- suggest a partnership, certification, or endorsement that doesn’t exist.
Forks
Forks are welcome under Apache-2.0. A fork must use a different name and logo, and should state plainly that it is not Elicitly and is not affiliated with Preneur LLC. Saying a fork is “based on Elicitly” is fine.
Attribution
Where it’s practical, please include the line: “Elicitly™ is a trademark of Preneur LLC.”
